It's been close to a year since I've contended with that Fenyx login screen, and memory is hazy, but I think those were the 3 buttons I mashed on. IIRC correctly, upon bootup the game confronts you with the Ubisoft login screen, then cancelling that brings you, just for the briefest instant, to the title screen with the start/load menu, before it shifts you BACK to the Ubisoft login screen right away to insist you log in.
I think just because they tease the title screen like that, I yammed on buttons and lo and behold, it actually worked.

But the whole concept is asinine - Fenyx is not FTP and logging into a player-tracking portal should be entirely optional for us paying customers. Make it mandatory and that's just another way to annoy and lose your customers. I wonder if login was mandatory with their Prince of Persia game from early this year? I bought it but never got around to trying it.

I bought the new Prince of persia game for switch exactly because it doesn't do the login screen BS. I haven't tested it personally, but apparently switch was the only console where you could actually turn it off.

Did my usual target-search for physical releases today. Ran into Phantasy Star V. But it's just fan art. At first glance I thought the SEGA Ages Switch ports were getting a physical release or something.

I am disappointed.

Fangamer have opted Crow Country. News is about a month old but I missed it.
